Shipping & Delivery Policy
Dispatch
Orders are dispatched the same day as cleared payment, for orders placed before 2pm on a business day; orders placed after 2pm go out the next business day. Every order is fully insured for its full value while in transit.
For exceptional or high-value pieces, we may arrange personal hand delivery instead of a courier, entirely at our discretion. We'll contact you directly if this applies to your order.
Packaging
For security, items are shipped in discreet, unbranded outer packaging — nothing on the parcel identifies the contents, the courier, or that it has come from a watch and jewellery dealer. The watch or jewellery itself travels in its full presentation box with your documentation: invoice, condition report, warranty and authentication paperwork.
Courier and delivery
We ship worldwide using an insured, tracked courier requiring a signature on delivery. As soon as your order is dispatched, you'll automatically receive an email with your tracking link, so you can follow your delivery.
| Destination | Estimated delivery |
|---|---|
| UK mainland | 1–2 business days |
| Europe | 3–5 business days |
| Rest of world | 5–10 business days |
These are estimates, not guarantees, and can be affected by customs processing. Hand-delivered items follow a separate arrangement agreed with you directly.
Customs, duties and import taxes
For deliveries outside the UK, your order may be subject to import duties, taxes and customs clearance fees charged on arrival by your country. These are your responsibility and are not included in our prices or shipping charges. We recommend checking your local customs rules before ordering; delays caused by customs clearance are outside our control.
Verification for high-value and international orders
To protect both you and us against fraud, we may carry out additional checks before dispatching high-value or international orders — for example, confirming the delivery address matches the cardholder's registered address, or requesting photo ID. This can add a short delay before dispatch; we'll let you know if it applies to your order.
Risk and ownership
Risk in the item passes to you on delivery, once the courier has obtained a signature. Ownership passes once we have received payment in full.
Lost or damaged in transit
Because every order is fully insured, if your item is lost or arrives damaged, contact houseoftimeuk@gmail.com as soon as possible, and within 24 hours of the delivery date (or the estimated delivery date, if it hasn't arrived), with your order number and, for damage, photographs of the item and packaging. We'll resolve this through our insurance and courier claims process — you will not be left out of pocket for loss or damage in transit.
